“The strength of the team is each individual member...the strength of each member
is the team.”
~Coach Phil Jackson Los Angeles Lakers
Dear Parents and Students,
-Science Projects Due March 2, 2010! Yes, the Science projects are here. Both 4th
and 5th grades have decided to make the Science projects mandatory and due before
Spring Break. Each Science project needs to contain a testable question such as:
Which detergent removes grass stains the best? Each student is responsible for creating
a question, doing an experiment, posting their results on a Science board, and then
presenting their findings to the class. The top three projects from the class will
move on to the school judging and have a chance to compete at the county Science
fair! The ILCS website has all the information needed. I recommend reading through
the Science fair guide (it has everything you need to know) as well as all the other
information the school has provided. (Here is the link: SCIENCE FAIR.) It has all
the information you need to complete a fantastic project. 4th graders do not need
to write a report for this project. Page 12 of the Science guide has a great picture
of what a finished project should look like.
-Homework looks similar to the past three weeks. Math will be a little different
because it will be more individualized for each student.
-Thank you to everyone who came out on Wednesday to support the school at Del Taco.
It was a lot of fun sweeping the floor!
-This month’s leadership theme is responsibility. I will be emailing all the parents
to see how responsible each student is being at home this month!
-Have a great week!
Mr. Head
